Built by grandpa …

The family-run lookout inn was built by Lisl and Leo Berger in 1949 and has since then become a favorite spot of Austrian cuisine in the region and beyond. From 1988 to 2013, Sonya Lindner continued the fortunes of her parents and Austrian hospitality. From April 2013 to April 2018 Sonya’s son Bernd Lindner did run the inn. Since May 2018 Susanne Kanzler, Sonya’s daughter, runs the inn. The delicacies of the inn are not only the magnificent view of the surrounding mountains, but above all the pleasurable delights of mainly regional products.

The sweet delicacies and flour specialties also make the hearts of the connoisseurs beat faster.
Our kitchen is open from 11:30 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm. In the afternoon there is a small menu.

The Gasthof Dachsteinblick with the wonderful view …

… is located on the eastern bank of the Salzkammergut in the mountain village Wörschachwald of the municipality Stainach-Pürgg at the foot of the Grimming. If you are looking for relaxation or actively exploring the surroundings, here is the ideal starting point.

The surrounding mountains and alpine pastures invite you to go hiking and mountaineering. No matter if you are a professional or a beginner, there is something for everyone. If you want to relax from the hardships, you can relax with countless natural lakes. Many lakes are only a few minutes away or can be explored by foot (e.g. Spechtensee). There is also a small ski lift and a cross-country ski run, which are only 2 km from our inn.

The Alpentour Steiermark, which follows Wörschachwald, is a must for cyclists.

History

We will soon tell you more about the history of our inn – funny and impressive – as well as a small gallery with pictures from grandma’s photo album
